The historic property of Becov is a complex of historical houses built in various styles – from gothic, across the baroque up to 19th century. Baroque castle is also home of the second most precious goldsmith object in Czech Republic – the Reliquary of St. Maurus. Besides the two major guided tours realizes the castle administration also two special programs for children.
The visitors of Castle Becov have the possibility to visit either the chateau interiors with presentation of the historic furniture, paintings and other artistic objects from the original collection of dukes of Beaufort-Spotnin or to visit the permanent exhibition concentrated on the presentation of the Reliquary of St. Maurus. The foreign visitors will go with the texts in various languages, for bigger groups we can prepare the guided tours in German, English or Russian language. The guests of Castle Becov can also during three weekends in a year visit the mediaeval part of the property, which is according the opinion of some experts one of the most authentic gothic historic houses in central Europe. This part of Castle Becov area is now under the reconstruction and will be open to public in the year 2016. The children visitors in the age 3 - 12 can take place on special programs focused on history of the Reliquary of St. Maurus and history of Castle Becov. These programs are realized only in Czech language without possibility of lending texts. Information about Castle Becov you can nd also in English, German or Russian on www.zamek-becov.cz. The castle is open from May to September daily except Mondays between 10.00 – 17.00, in April and October in the same hours on weekends. All tours are realized with the guide, each tour take 45 minutes.
