Oskar Kokoschka and Czechoslovakia
20 February – 28 June, National Gallery Prague /Trade Fair Palace
The Austrian expressionist painter Oskar Kokoschka spent part of his life in Prague. The exhibition at the Trade Fair Palace presents a cross-section of his works from 1934 – 1938 loaned by both Czech and foreign art institutions.
World Ice Hockey Championship 2015
1 – 17 May, O2 Arena
The world's best ice hockey teams will face off in Prague and Ostrava. Prague will host all the games of the A group (Sweden, Canada, Switzerland, Latvia, France, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic), the quarter- and semifinals, as well as the final game on 17 May.
Volkswagen Marathon Weekend 2015
2 – 3 May
One of the world's most beautiful running courses takes the runners from Old Town Square through the city's most beautiful parts, along both riverbanks, offering frequent glimpses of the Castle. The course crosses the iconic Charles Bridge, as well. Runners from over 100 countries will compete in the race.
Prague Spring International Music Festival
12 May – 3 June
The 70th edition of the esteemed classical music festival will highlight the music of Shostakovich and Mahler, with special programmes dedicated to orchestra as well as chamber works. A record number of prominent international ensembles and soloists will perform in venues including Prague's historical palaces and churches. Tickets are on sale now.
Khamoro
24 – 30 May
One of the world's largest festivals of Romany culture will infuse Prague with the fiery temperament of Roma music, culture and traditions. In addition to a number of musical performances by Czech and international ensembles, there will be film screenings, workshops, and a variety of street events.
Prague Food Festival
29 – 31 May, the Royal Garden of Prague Castle
A must for all foodies, this is a three-day celebration of the very best of Czech gastronomy. The country's finest chefs and restaurants will offer tastings and cooking demonstrations, the best producers will ply guests with their delicacies and beverages. The elegant affair is held outdoor, in the idyllic setting of the leafy Royal Garden by the Prague Castle.
Prague Quadrennial 2015
18 – 28 June
The world's largest event focusing on performance design and space in the broadest sense, from theatre to costume, light, and sound design to new staging approaches. A variety of events will be staged throughout the city, both indoor and outdoor. The 2015 theme is SharedSpace: Music Weather Politics 2013 – 2016.
Behind the Door

International festival of street theatre. The very centre of Prague with its splendid historical buildings will serve as a set for five days packed with theatrical experiences. The festival brings theatre into the space behind the door – be it city streets, squares or

Dvořák Prague Festival

Since its inception, the festival has built its renown on the incontestable, time-proven quality of Dvořák's works.
