The Botanical Garden opened to the public as early as 1895, but thanks to a recent large reconstruction it has become the most modern garden in Bohemia and its greenhouses are truly a plant paradise.
Visitors are enchanted by the beauty of noble orchids, charming blossoms, the miniature world of bonsai and the unique exposition of carnivorous plants. There is a pavilionfocusing on plants of the prehistoric era and a remarkable collection of camellias evoking the atmosphere of a chateau orangery. An interesting underwater world is displayed in aquariums with rays and sharks, as well as more common Angelfish and Neon Tetra. In summer don’t miss the outside rose garden and a large rockery with North Bohemian thermophilic plants.
