The tourist season has ended, however the gates of certain historical sites in the Liberec Region have stayed open. Throughout the whole winter visitors may view the exquisite interiors of the Sychrov Castle, which provide a warm atmosphere even in unfavourable weather conditions. You can also come to view the Grabštejn Castle or Hrubý Rohozec Castle (these two only after a previous arrangement).
In the spring Hrubý Rohozec intends to radically change the guided tour route. The museum expositions presenting stylistic stages from Renaissance to Art Nouveau will give way to rooms depicting the life of our grand and great-grandparents. Visitors will see not only impressive rooms designed for entertainment and receptions, the Baroque Chapel of the Holy Trinity, library with the family gallery and the Neo- Gothic dining hall, but also most private areas of the then owners of the castle. The second fl oor will off er even more intimate viewing. Each of the guest rooms tells of the life of other household members, relatives, friends and their entourage. You can also enter the kingdom of the youngest dwellers of the castle, the playroom and bedroom of the little counts and see the neighbouring room of their nanny. Hrubý Rohozec is not only a castle; it is an aristocratic house telling a colourful story.
