From Apr. 11 – 13, the National Heritage Institute, Křivoklát Castle Administration, is holding its traditional festivities welcoming spring to our land. The Easter gates of the castle will swing open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. The castle chapel, tastefully decorated for Easter, awaits you.
Each day a large arts and crafts fair will be held in the courtyard and inside the lower castle where you can admire the skilful work of craftsmen. The event is accompanied by music and chat from the Krless band and Czech Radio 2. More can be found about the programme at www.krivoklat.cz.
A historic train pulled by Albatross, the steam engine, will be dispatched from Prague-Braník station to Křivoklát. Buying a return ticket will entitle you to a 50% discount of the castle tour. Tickets can be purchased in advance. The main partner of the event is the Czech Tourism Agency and others such as Rakovnicko o. p. s., Lesy ČR, Royal Brewery of Krušovice, Czech Railway and the media partners: Czech Radio 2, Radio Relax, Mladá fronta Dnes, Eye and Raport.
