In summer months, when the temperature is above 30 degrees, almost everybody would like to go to the beach instead of being at work. In Ústí region, there are a lot of possibilities, swimming baths, ponds, open air pools. If the weather is not so nice or if you like swimming also in winter months, you can visit some of modern aquaparks.
Nechranická Dam
This dam was built on the Ohře river between Kadaň and Žatec. It has 1 338 ha and is the sixth biggest dam in the Czech Republic and its dike is the longest in Central Europe. Today it is used mostly for recreational purposes. Beaches and yacht moorings are on the southern shallow shore, while the northern shore is steep and there is a natural preserve.
Barbora Lake
An artificial lake Barbora is in the village of Oldřichov and is a recreational complex enabling relaxation, swiming and sport activities. The lake Barbara came into existence in the seventies of the last century by watering the quarry. It has 65 ha and is even 40 m deep. There is a beautiful view to Krušné Hory Mountains from the lake, creating a unique panorama of the complex.
Marina Labe and Club Hotel Píšťany
The Area Marina Labe can be found on the shore of the Píšťany lake, 3km from Litoměřice, only 60 km from Prague. The basic offer of the complex consists of accomodation, restaurants, moorings and ship equipment sale, and more. Sail repairs, boat rentals, grocery shops on the bank… You can visit also information centre and use internet.
Kamencové Lake
It came into existence by watering the alum mines in the 18th century, which were working 1558-1785 AD. The water content is a real rarity – it enables the life of only protozoans. You can enjoy swimming and sun bathing on the piers, grass and sand beaches, or visit a separated nudist beach.
Děčín
In the summer part of the swimming pool, there can be found pools 50 and 25 meters long, a recreational pool, a paddling pool, refreshment stands and wide grass planes. The indoor part offers the 25m long pool, a pool for children, 3 tobogans, water mushroom, white water, whirlpool baths, paddling pools and restaurant.
Teplice
The main 25m swimming pool with a slide is connected to the 61m long pool with a tobogan. There are also a paddling pool with a slide, sauna with outdoor cooling pool, outdoor planes for sunbathing, bar, restaurant, fitness and solarium.
Most
In this outdoor and indoor area, there is a 25m swimming pool. You can enjoy also two indoor tobogans, white water, a pool only for children with water spouters, climbing net, and more.
Klášterec nad Ohří
There are altogether 8 water pools of various sizes and shapes in this aquapark. Swimming in the clear water can be enriched by the wide offer of water attractions. You can enjoy minigolf, beach volleyball, or basketball here.
