During the Advent period you can experience Christmas magic, not only in the town centre but also for example in the Podkrušnohorský Zoo-park.
On Advent days the Square of First May displays Christmas traditions typical for Krušnohoří. On Dec. 5, the Christmas tree and town decorations are lit. From Dec. 10 to 23 you can visit large Christmas markets with an accompanying cultural programme. You can absorb the Christmas atmosphere each Advent Sunday during concerts in the St. Ignatius Church or visit the museum displaying traditional nativity scenes.All year round visitors can stroll around the Podkrušnohorský Zoo-park. The largest zoological garden in Bohemia is home to more than 1000 animals in the uniquely segmented grounds covering an area of nearly 120 hectares.
