Postoloprty, a small town in the Ústecký Region, is awaiting your visit in 2010. We have prepared for you the following cultural events:
January 22 – Masquerade Ball for adults
Return to childhood days just for one night.
February 19 – Third Municipal Ball
February 21 – Masquerade Party for children.
Competitions, games, dance.
March 13 – Fifth Post-Shrovetide Celebration in Postoloprty
Come and enjoy yourselves at Mírové Square, where the town will be ruled for one day by the Good Soldier Švejk.
April 30 – Witches' Sabbath
An entertaining early evening of burning witches.
8. května – Porta Apostolorum or Eighth Journey to the History of Postoloprty
A whole-day event, during which we will look into Postoloprty of the 17th century. Jugglers, dancers, fencers, period musical bands as well as majorettes and fairy tales, topped off with a fi reworks display. It will take place in the castle garden and its environs.
June 12 – 130 years of amateur theatre in the town
For one day the castle garden will be turned into a theatrical stage, presenting programmes for both children and adults.
July–August: Postoloprty Open-air Cinema
September 25 – Good-bye Summer
Bidding farewell to the summer with a majorette display.
December 4 – Advent in Postoloprty
Advent markets, Christmas customs, switching on the Christmas tree lights.
